Open Question: I'm pregnant, but what happens when the baby is born?

I'm really worried, I am nearly 12 weeks pregnant and going on maternity leave mid September. I am really worried about what I am going to do when it is born? I don't want to live off benefits, just because I would rather work and provide for my baby myself. My partner works also but we are really worried about how we are going to afford childcare. My family are unable to help as they every work. UK answers would be really helpful, thank you :)
